In solving equations or systems of equations, substitution is often used as an effective method. Substitution involves solving for one variable in terms of the others; once a variable is isolated, the equation can be solved more easily. In general, substitution is best used when one equation in a system is much simpler than the others. However, it can also be useful in other cases where equations are not easily solved by other methods. To use substitution, one must first identify which variable will be solved for. The other variable(s) are then substituted into this equation. From there, the equation can be simplified and solved for the desired variable. Substitution can be a powerful tool in solving equations; however, it is important to ensure that all resulting equations are still consistent and have a single solution. Otherwise, the original problem may not have had a unique solution to begin with.
This can also be written as h(x)=9x3+2x2. So in this case, h(x)=f(g(x)). This can be extended to more than two functions as well. For example, if f(x)=sin(pi*x), g(x)=cos(pi*x), and h(x)=tan^-1(4*pi*g(f(h(0)))), then the composition would be (hfg)(0). This could be simplified to tan^-1 (4*pi* cos((pi* sin((tan^-1 (4 * pi * 0))))))= 0.5. The order of the functions matters when computing the composition since each function is applied to the result of the previous function in the order they are listed. The notation fogh would mean that h is applied first, followed by g, and then f last. This could also be written as hofg which would mean that f is applied first, followed by g, and then h last. These two notations are equivalent since reversing the order of the functions just means that they are applied in reverse order which does not change the result. To sum up, a composition of functions is when one function is applied to the results of another function and the order of the functions matters when computing the composition.
While they may seem daunting at first, there are a number of ways to solve quadratic equations. One popular method is known as factoring. This involves breaking down the equation into smaller factors that can be more easily solved. For example, if we have the equation ax^2 + bx + c = 0, we can factor it as (ax + c)(bx + c) = 0. This enables us to solve for x by setting each factor equal to zero and then solving for x. While factoring is a popular method for solving quadratic equations, it is not always the most straightforward approach. In some cases, it may be easier to use the quadratic formula, which is a formula specifically designed to solve quadratic equations. The quadratic formula can be used to solve any quadratic equation, regardless of how complex it may be. However, it is important to note that the quadratic formula only provides one solution for x. In some cases, there may be multiple solutions, so it is important to check all possible values of x before settling on a final answer. Regardless of which method you use, solving a quadratic equation can be an satisfying way to apply your math skills to real-world problems.
A logarithmic equation solver is a mathematical tool that allows you to solve equations involving logarithms. This type of equation often arises in fields such as physics and engineering, where exponential functions are commonly used. The logarithmic equation solver can be used to find the value of x for any given value of y. For example, if you know that y =log(x), you can use the logarithmic equation solver to find the value of x that corresponds to y. This can be useful in situations where you need to solve an equation but do not have access to a calculator or other tools that would allow you to perform the necessary calculations. The logarithmic equation solver can also be used to check your work when solving equations by hand. In general, the logarithmic equation solver is a valuable tool for anyone who needs to work with logarithms on a regular basis.

I cannot overstate how much I love this app! Complicated problems still aren't solvable with it, but regardless this is teaching me fundamental information I never really learned while I was taking algebra. I just wish they had an appendix explaining the meanings of certain symbols they use that I have never seen before.
Better than most apps I tried. My favorite so far. I think it could be explained a little bit better. They'll just say it's simplified and only occasionally tell you the math rule that was used but I believe that is because I'm on trial and not paying. Although I can't remember what the trial was like really, they should let you try for more than 7 days. The $80 may have been worth it if I got to try more of the subscription-based tools while I had the trial.
